How gaming evolved throughout decades
Gaming has seen one of the fastest changes of any type of entertainment; it has been around since the 1950s, the first game was released exactly on 1958 October by a Physicist called William Higinbotham. It was a simple tennis game, and it was called tennis for two.. It Lacked the modern video games' fancy visuals. A side image of a tennis court with just two lines—one for the net and one for the ground—was displayed on the cathode ray tube display. Just a dot, the ball was moving back and forth. Additionally, each player was required to maintain his score.
It was until Spacewar was released; the game consisted of two human-controlled spacecraft engaging in a straightforward battle around a star's gravity well. It was easily spread to other programmers searching for something to do during their lunch breaks thanks to the PDP-1 minicomputer that was created on. Despite being a very simple game, Spacewar! established some significant trends that continue to this day. One reason it was a multiplayer game with people competing against each other was because the AI to handle the enemies would have required more coding, and at the time, they just lacked the resources to do so.
Everything in the development of games is going tremendously quickly during the beginning of the 1990s. Even Sony is beginning to experiment in home consoles, as are Sega, Nintendo, Atari, and Sony. In order to offer the new Nintendo console greater power, games like Star Fox and Virtua Racing experiment with 3D-rendering models instead of 2D. And with the development of the internet, online gaming started to appear. First of all, all massively multiplayer online games require Internet access because playing the games requires logging into the server hosting the game world.
As seen nowadays, there is huge competition hosted every year for big and famous video game. Per example league of legends also known as ‘LOL’, every year it hosts a big competition for professional teams, with pro-players contracts. The Prize for the winner is 1 million American dollars.
